Eligibility Criteria for RUHS Post Basic B.Sc Nursing 2024
1. Entrance Examination
To be admitted to the Post Basic B.Sc Nursing course, you must appear in the Post Basic B.Sc Nursing Entrance Examination 2024, which is part of the Rajasthan Centralized Admissions to Nursing Courses 2024 (RCA Nursing 2024).
2. Eligibility Criteria
For Non-Service Candidates:
- Must have passed Higher Secondary (10+2) or an equivalent examination recognized by a university/board.
- Must have either:
- A Diploma in General Nursing (GNM) before the new integrated course and be registered as a Registered Nurse with the State Nurses Registration Council, or
- A Certificate in General Nursing and Midwifery after the new integrated course and be registered as a Registered Nurse and Midwife with the State Nurses Registration Council.
- The GNM should be from an institution recognized by the Indian Nursing Council/State Nursing Council.
For In-Service Candidates (Rajasthan State Government Employees):
- Must meet the criteria for non-service candidates.
- Must be currently employed by the State Government of Rajasthan.
- Must have completed at least two years of continuous service after regular appointment by the State Government of Rajasthan. A certificate (Appendix A) confirming this must be signed by the Director, Medical & Health Service / Joint Director (Zone) and submitted.
3. Age Limit :– There is no age limit for admission to the Post Basic B.Sc Nursing course.
4. Reservation
- Seats will be reserved according to the statutory provisions of the Government of Rajasthan for Rajasthan domicile candidates.
- Candidates from other states will be considered under the unreserved category.
- Reserved category candidates (SC, ST, ST-STA, OBC Non-Creamy Layer, MBC Non-Creamy Layer, EWS) must produce original certificates for verification at the time of joining.
- OBC/MBC candidates must submit an original certificate issued within one year of the exam date, indicating “Non-Creamy Layer.”
- EWS candidates must submit an original certificate valid for the financial year 2024-25.
- 5% of seats are reserved for PwD candidates in each category, based on Merit-cum-Priority. PwD candidates must provide a PwD certificate from a competent authority during physical disability verification.
5. Domicile Criteria: Admission is open to all residents of India.
6. Medical Fitness: Candidates must submit a medical fitness certificate at the time of joining, certified by a medical officer of the Government of Rajasthan, according to the prescribed medical standards.
