Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be students of Class VIII in the academic session 2024-25 enrolled in government, government-aided, or grant-supported schools run by the state government, central government, or recognized aided minority schools, madrasas, and Sanskrit schools (excluding Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas, Sainik Schools, Kendriya Vidyalayas, and any residential or private schools run by the central or state government).
- Applicants must have passed Class VII with at least 55% marks in the academic session 2022-23 and should be regularly studying in Class VIII in the academic session 2024-25 in the above-mentioned school categories.
- Relaxation for SC/ST and differently-abled students: 5% relaxation in the minimum qualifying marks.
- Students whose parents’ total annual income from all sources does not exceed ₹3.5 lakh are eligible to apply.
- To retain the scholarship, students must pass their Class VIII examination with a minimum of 55% marks (50% for SC/ST students).
Exam Fee
- No examination fee is required for the Bihar NMMS Scholarship examination.

- Selected students will receive ₹12,000 annually from Class IX to XII.
