Haryana State Meritorious Incentive Scheme 2025-26: The Government of Haryana has launched the State Meritorious Incentive Scheme for students who attain merit positions in Annual University Examinations. The objective of the scheme is to encourage meritorious students studying in Government Colleges by providing them a fixed annual incentive as motivation for excellence in academics and overall development.
Under this scheme, male students (General Category), female students (General Category), and SC students (both boys & girls) will be awarded incentives based on their rank (1st, 2nd, 3rd) in annual university exams of major streams like Arts, Commerce, Science (Medical & Non-Medical), and Education, at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Eligibility Criteria
- Must be studying in a Government College of Haryana.
- Scholarship awarded to top 3 meritorious students in each stream (1st, 2nd & 3rd rank) of Annual University Examination.
- Open only for general courses (Arts, Commerce, Science – Medical/Non-Medical, Education).
- Students of non-govt. colleges, correspondence, or open universities are not eligible.
- Separate merit lists will be prepared for:
- Boys (General Category)
- Girls (General Category)
- SC students (combined list for boys & girls)
- If SC student qualifies in the general list, their name will be considered there, and extra awards will be given to other SC students on merit basis.
- No student can hold any other State Govt. scholarship/stipend simultaneously.
- No income limit is applicable for this scheme.
Scholarship Amount
- 1st Position: ₹5000/- per annum
- 2nd Position: ₹3000/- per annum
- 3rd Position: ₹2000/- per annum
Note: Incentives are awarded separately for each stream – Arts, Commerce, Science (Medical/Non-Medical), Education – at both UG & PG level.
Mode of Selection
- Selection is strictly merit-based on Annual University Exam results.
- If more than one student secures equal marks, preference will be given on the basis of marks in main subjects.
- Rules and regulations may be changed at any time by the Government.
